Trident Metals – A Brief History

Established in 1978, Trident was a forerunner at the inception of the non-ferrous and ferrous metal recycling industry within the North of England and North Wales being the first registered site in North Wales under environmental legislation introduced in the early 1990’s.

In 1996 we developed our business even further and launched an aluminium reprocessing and melting division culminating in our ability to pay top prices for aluminium scraps, as we not only sort aluminium scraps but we melt to produce aluminium ingot to BS1490 standard and known specification re-melt sow, supplying direct to industry which circumvents the normal supply route therefore increasing value.

Today we are one of the leading independent scrap metal and aluminium operations in the North of England and North Wales, we physically handle in excess of 1000 metric tonnes of various non-ferrous and ferrous metals per month.

We know that the best results are achieved through close commercial and technical collaboration, that is why we always look to the long term and aim to fully understand out customers needs, priorities and future plans.

Customers come to Trident because they value our partnership approach. We work together with our suppliers, advising them on segregation and storage issues, thus enabling us to assist you in maximising your metal waste revenue.

We operate our own fleet to service accounts nationwide and use third party haulage as required. As part of our normal service levels, we offer a wide range of tailor made storage equipment to meet your own particular requirements.

Environmental issues are important to us and must be safeguarded and we contribute to the conservation of valuable new processes and energy savings methods where possible.

Be it the rapidly changing environment, diminishing natural resources or the increasing pressures of legislation, you can be safe in the knowledge that your metal waste is handled correctly and safely.
